Dynamic Seasonal Temperature - Config Guide
=============================================

Everything below lives in ModConfig\dynamicseasonaltemperature.json, in your Vintage Story data folder (not the Mods folder!). Open it in any text editor, change what you want, save, and restart the game or server - that's it, no rebuilding, no reinstalling.

Quick tip: if you just want things calmer overall without fiddling with every number, the two that matter most are PerTickStepMaxDegrees (smaller = gentler day-to-day swings) and ReversionGain (higher = snaps back to normal faster, so extremes don't linger).

{
  "Enabled": true, - Flip to false any time you want vanilla temperatures back without uninstalling the mod - handy if you just want to test whether something odd in your world is caused by this or not.

  "EquatorWarmAmplitude": 10.0, - The absolute maximum temperature increase that can happen right at the equator, in °C.

  "EquatorColdAmplitude": 10.0, - The absolute maximum temperature drop that can happen right at the equator, in °C.

  "PoleWarmAmplitude": 20.0, - The absolute maximum temperature increase near the poles, in °C. Keeps polar summers realistic instead of turning glaciers into deserts.

  "PoleColdAmplitude": 40.0, - The absolute maximum temperature drop near the poles, in °C. This is where the mod can really trigger a brutal winters. Every location between the equator and the poles scales smoothly between these limits.

  "PerTickStepMaxDegrees": 2.0, - The biggest jump the climate can make in one update. Think of this as "how twitchy is the weather." Turn it down if you find the swings a bit too much.

  "TickLengthDays": 1.0, - How often the climate rerolls - 1.0 means once every in-game day. Bump this up if you want longer, lazier stretches between changes instead of something new every day.

  "ReversionGain": 0.35, - How hard the climate gets pulled back toward "normal" the further it strays. Higher = a calmer, more well-behaved climate that rarely goes to extremes. Lower = once it gets weird, it can stay weird for a while.

  "HistoricallyThreshold": 0.66, - Only affects text readouts (like the /dst offset command and the Temporal Temp Forecaster). This is how close to the true extreme an anomaly needs to be before it's labeled "Historically" severe.

  "ForecastHistoricallyThreshold": 0.33, - The threshold fraction used specifically by the Temporal Temp Forecaster block to determine if a monthly prediction is severe enough to get a harsher flavor text in your chat.

  "RandomSeedOffset": 88301 - Didn't like how this world's climate turned out? Change this number to anything else and you'll get a completely different pattern of good and bad years - same world, same seed, just a different roll of the climate dice.
